On January 10, 2026, Kia’s official distributor in Uzbekistan, the ADM group of companies, announced the launch of a new version of the Kia Sportage. The crossover received interior and exterior changes and is now equipped with an expanded range of high-tech safety and driver assistance systems.

On January 10, 2026, Kia’s official distributor in Uzbekistan, the ADM group of companies, announced the launch of a new version of the Kia Sportage. The crossover received interior and exterior changes and is now equipped with an expanded range of high-tech safety and driver assistance systems.

First introduced in 1993, the Kia Sportage has left a significant mark on the history of the global automotive industry. More than 7 million units have been sold to date, and the model has already gone through five generations. The latest update brings the crossover even more closely into line with the brand’s new design philosophy, “Opposites United.” Its modern appearance and enhanced equipment strengthen the Sportage’s position as one of the leaders in its segment.

Exterior

The new Sportage measures 4 685 × 1 865 × 1 660–1 680 mm (length × width × height, depending on the version and whether roof rails are fitted).

The new Sportage’s front and rear lighting features the signature “Star Map” styling, giving the crossover a modern and expressive appearance. A radiator grille with a new 3D pattern and vertical LED headlights create a dynamic, high-tech look while providing excellent visibility both day and night.

The new Sportage is available with alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 19 inches in diameter (depending on the trim level), with several designs to choose from, allowing an optimal combination of style and vehicle character.

For those who prefer a more aggressive and expressive look, the X-Line version is available. It features exclusive styling elements, including black Kia logos and 19-inch black alloy wheels with a distinctive design.

Interior

The interior of the new Kia Sportage features a modern design with clearly defined horizontal zones. The dashboard is oriented toward the driver, while a panoramic curved screen combines a 12.3” digital instrument cluster and a 12.3” infotainment display, creating a fully immersive visual experience. The base version uses a Supervision instrument cluster with a 4.2” color screen.

A two-spoke steering wheel with flattened rim sections gives the interior a sporty and elegant look. All controls are ergonomically positioned and intuitive to use.

Wood-textured trim and metallic-look elements on the center console and door panels emphasize the interior’s premium character, combining aesthetics with practicality. Interior LED lighting creates a cozy atmosphere. An acoustic windshield effectively reduces noise levels, enhancing comfort on the road.

The front seats can be equipped with heating and ventilation, and the rear seats with heating. Second-row passengers have access to clothes hangers built into the front headrests and convenient pockets in the seatbacks.

Thanks to record legroom and headroom, the second row of seats is among the most spacious in its class, something families with children and long-distance travelers will particularly appreciate.

The rear-seat design allows not only the backrests to be folded but also the seats themselves to be lowered, creating the most convenient luggage space possible. The tailgate can be equipped with a power opening system featuring intelligent control and opening-height memory.

Additional comfort is provided by driver’s seat position memory, the ability to adjust the front passenger seat from the driver’s seat or the second row, wireless mobile-device charging, four USB Type-C ports, and a spacious compartment in the center console with provision for cup holders.

The X-Line version features a black suede headliner, a black interior option and a distinctive two-tone steering wheel.

Engines and transmissions

In Uzbekistan, the new Kia Sportage is offered with two gasoline powertrains:

● 2.0 MPI (156 hp at 6 200 rpm, 192 N·m at 4 500 rpm) is the optimal choice for those who value economy and practicality. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

● 2.5 GDI (190 hp at 6 100 rpm, 242 N·m at 4 000 rpm) delivers strong performance and efficiency, and is paired with an updated 8-speed automatic transmission.

During the update, engineers paid particular attention to driving characteristics and comfort: the suspension was upgraded, and cabin sound insulation was improved through the use of additional insulating materials.

Safety

Like all Kia vehicles, the new Sportage pays attention to safety. Improved side-impact protection is achieved through the use of high- and ultra-high-strength steels, as well as hot-stamped components. Six airbags (front, side and curtain airbags) provide reliable protection for occupants in collisions.

The crosswind stability system helps keep the vehicle in its lane when driving at high speeds.

The Sportage can be equipped with an expanded suite of active safety systems, including Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA 2), second-generation Lane Keeping Assist (LKA2), Lane Following Assist (LFA), blind-spot monitoring systems (BCA), reversing collision-avoidance systems (RCCA, PCA-R), a safe exit system (SEW) and other functions. The Hands-on Detection (HoD) system warns the driver of potentially dangerous situations and reduced concentration through steering-wheel vibration.

New digital capabilities

The updated infotainment system offers expanded functionality and new digital solutions. The HUD head-up display projects key information onto the windshield, allowing the driver to keep their attention on the road.

The premium Harman/Kardon audio system with digital soundstage processing delivers rich, high-quality sound.

Trim levels, colors and warranty

The new Kia Sportage is available in eight exterior colors and with two interior trim options, depending on the trim level. Two new colors have been added to the palette: Wolf Gray and Heritage Blue.

The model is covered by Kia’s manufacturer warranty of 5 years or 150 000 km (whichever comes first).

The Kia Sportage is offered in five trim levels:

● Luxe – 454 900 000 soums;

● Prestige – 499 900 000 soums;

● Style – 549 900 000 soums;
