On September 16 in Seoul, Kia Corporation and ADM Global signed an agreement on the further development of their strategic partnership. The ceremony took place as part of the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea summit.

The document provides for cooperation in four key areas: production of new Kia models in Uzbekistan, localization of components and spare parts, specialist training and export development.

The agreement was signed by Cho Sang-un, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Operations at Kia, and Daniyar Davletiyarov, President and CEO of ADM Global.

The new agreement combines Kia’s technological and international expertise with ADM Global’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities. The partnership aims to further develop Uzbekistan’s automotive industry and strengthen the Kia brand’s position in Central Asian markets.

“This agreement marks a new stage in our long-term cooperation. ADM Global’s manufacturing capabilities and growing consumer interest in quality cars provide a solid foundation for further development. Deeper localization, the development of transport links and access to Central Asian markets will enable us to expand deliveries of new Kia models manufactured in Uzbekistan. We will continue to steadily develop our partnership with Kia,” said Daniyar Davletiyarov, President and CEO of ADM Global.

Key areas of cooperation

Production of new models

The companies are considering expanding the range of Kia models manufactured in Uzbekistan using CKD technology. The first stage will focus on vehicles with internal combustion engines, followed by electric vehicles.

Deeper localization

The partners will continue to develop the production of automotive components and spare parts in Uzbekistan. This will increase the share of localized products and expand the expertise of local enterprises.

Specialist training

Training programs are planned for ADM Global employees, aimed at improving manufacturing standards, product quality and professional qualifications.

Export development

Another area will involve creating the conditions for deliveries of Uzbekistan-made Kia vehicles to other Central Asian countries and markets in the Caucasus.

The parties see significant potential in Central Asia’s automotive market. Combining Kia’s technology and long-term vision with ADM Global’s manufacturing base and partner network creates additional opportunities to develop the regional automotive industry and improve its competitiveness.
